Greetings Titan Families,
It is with immense pleasure that I introduce myself as your incoming Principal of East Career and Technical Academy. I am truly humbled to have been chosen to lead the East Tech family, with its rich history of traditions and multitude of accolades, into its next chapter. I know I have big shoes to fill and I am thrilled for the opportunity to continue the Titan standard of excellence.
While not born in Clark County, I have lived in the valley since I was eight years old and am a proud product of CCSD. A UNLV graduate, I have taught both English and social studies at the high school and middle school levels. For the last seven years I have served as both Dean and Assistant Principal at Southwest CTA, and bring extensive experience in career and technical education and magnet schools.
While I am aware that our current status in distance education will make getting to know the students and families more challenging than if we were on campus, I will make every effort to be available virtually for families and visiting classrooms often to meet students. Our School Organization Team has been incredibly supportive and I encourage families to join us in our monthly meetings.
In the past two days, I have been overwhelmed by the warm welcome I have received from the support staff, educators, and administrators of the Titan family. Immediately, I felt that this is a very special place and I am thrilled to be able to call it my new home!
Student success is always my main focus and all decisions will be made with what is best for students at the forefront. I believe that education should create lifelong learners who think critically about their world. Working together as a team - students, families, and staff - ALL students will succeed here on THE MOUNTAIN! I am beyond proud to serve you as Principal.

Es con inmenso placer que me presento como su directora entrante de East Career and Technical Academy. Me siento realmente honrada de haber sido elegida para llevar a la familia East Tech, con su rica historia de tradiciones y multitud de elogios, en su próximo capítulo. Sé que tengo grandes zapatos que llenar y estoy emocionada por la oportunidad de continuar con el estándar de excelencia de Titan.
Aunque no nací en el condado de Clark, he vivido en el valle desde que tenía ocho años y soy un orgulloso producto de CCSD. Graduada de la UNLV, he enseñado inglés y estudios sociales en los niveles de secundaria y preparatoria. Durante los últimos siete años me he desempeñado como decano y subdirector en Southwest CTA, y aporto una amplia experiencia en educación profesional y técnica así como en escuelas magnet.
Si bien soy consciente de que nuestro estado actual en la educación a distancia hará que conocer a los estudiantes y las familias sea más desafiante que si estuviéramos en el campus, haré todo lo posible para estar disponible virtualmente para las familias y visitar las aulas con frecuencia para conocer a los estudiantes. Nuestro equipo de organización escolar ha sido un gran apoyo y ánimo a las familias a unirse a nosotros en nuestras reuniones mensuales.
En los últimos dos días, me ha abrumado la cálida bienvenida que he recibido del personal de apoyo, los educadores y los administradores de la familia Titan. Inmediatamente, sentí que este es un lugar muy especial y estoy encantada de poder llamarlo mi nuevo hogar.
El éxito de los estudiantes es siempre mi enfoque principal y todas las decisiones se tomarán teniendo en cuenta lo mejor para los estudiantes. Creo que la educación debería crear alumnos de por vida que piensen críticamente sobre su mundo. Trabajando juntos como un equipo - estudiantes, familias y personal - ¡TODOS los estudiantes tendrán éxito aquí en LA MONTAṄA! Estoy más que orgullosa de servir como directora.
